the speaker

Billy Foster has been a caddy for over 30 years and has worked with some of the world’s most illustrious golf professionals such as Severiano Ballesteros, Darren Clarke, Gordon Brand Jnr, Sergio Garcia, Sam Torrance and Lee Westwood, with whom he still works.

A quiet Yorkshireman, with over 40 tournament victories and 13 Ryder Cup appearances, Billy is recognised throughout the world of golf to be a world class performer and is immensely proud to have been involved in some of Golf’s special moments.

Tiger Woods ‘borrowed’ Billy from Darren Clarke for the President’s Cup in 2005 when his caddy, Steve Williams, was unavailable due to the arrival of his firstborn. Tiger commented, “I like his personality, it’s very competitive. Very feisty!”

An extremely popular figure on Tour, Billy famously walked ‘with the tour bag on his back’ the 90 miles from Loch Lomond to Turnberry in aid of charity, which is a testament to his character.

In his capacity as a speaker, Billy is honest, funny, quick witted and
very approachable, as he highlights the importance of the caddy as well as sharing his brilliant personal anecdotes and unique insights into Golf, Golfers and fellow Caddies.

Billy follows his speaking with an open Q&A session, which encourages audience participation and as such proves to be one of the most popular celebrities in the ‘Golf Do’ series.
